There are several ways to define a near field output. Each of them is defined in a tab of this window. For each case, the electric and the magnetic near field are computed.
The near field grid allows calculating the radiated near field on a plane defined by the user (the grid is not necessarily rectangular) :
The near field hemisphere is very similar to the far field radiation pattern, except that the observation points are at a finite distance :
The last tab is just a reminder : it is possible to define a surface as an near field output. See the "Visu" property in the Interfaces tool.
